Singer David Bowie, one of the most influential musicians of his era, has died of cancer at the age of 69.
According to the statement to Hollywood Reporter announced of his long battle of cancer, and social media accounts, saying he “died peacefully, surrounded by his family” after an “18-month battle with cancer”.
The influential singer-songwriter and producer excelled at any stage of the rock 40-plus-year career. He just released his 25th album, Blackstar, Jan. 8, which was his birthday. He started with music career during 1972’s “The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars” he released this album of fusibg British mod with Japanese kabuki styles of rock, Bowie created his vision of flamboyant ego.
Tribute have been paid around the world, also Sir Paul McCartney according sources, described him as a “great star” who “played a very strong part in British musical history”.
Bowie’s son Duncan Jones, who is a Bafta-winning film director, wrote on Twitter: “Very sorry and sad to say it’s true. I’ll be offline for a while. Love to all.”
